Math for America
Math for America is a nonprofit organization with a mission to improve math education in secondary public schools in the United States by recruiting, training, and retaining outstanding mathematics teachers. Candidates must be able to make a five-year commitment to the MƒA Fellowship Program and must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. In order to meet certification requirements and earn the master's degree, applicants must complete a bachelor's degree with substantial coursework in mathematics. A minimum of 21 credits in math courses at the calculus level or higher are required.

Teach Arizona is a fast, one-year master’s degree program for people who have earned a bachelor’s degree and want to become teachers.
Arizona Teaching Fellows
The Arizona Teaching Fellows program recruits and trains teachers for high-need schools throughout Arizona.
Teach for America
Teach for America is looking for graduates in science and math to teach in underresourced schools within the United States.
MATCH Corps
MATCH Corps is an urban education service year at the MATCH Charter Public Schools in Boston, MA. The fellowship pairs post-grads with a small group of individual students in the award-winning MATCH High or Middle School. The program is in need of math majors who are interested in working for a time as inner-city math teachers (they will provide a free teacher certification program).
Noyce Scholarship Program
The Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship is for students interested in teaching and graduating with a math or science major. This program provides full funding for a graduate MAT program, plus financial support and mentoring during the first four years of teaching in high-needs middle and high schools.
Peace Corps
Volunteers in math teach basic concepts, including remedial math, geometry, algebra, statistics, probability, and calculus. Depending on your specific assignment, you might: Collaborate with local teachers to develop teaching materials and improve teaching techniques; Integrate health and environmental education into the curriculum, and support other school and community activities, such as HIV/AIDS prevention and education
How do I qualify?
- Education: To teach math, applicants can qualify with a bachelor's degree in math, computer science, or engineering; OR a degree in any discipline with a minor in math (18 semester hours); OR a degree with certification in secondary math.
- Experience: Applicants typically have at least three months of experience in tutoring or informal teaching with small groups. Classroom teaching experience is preferred.

Federal Reserve Bank of New York
Each fall, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York recruits Research Analysts to work closely with the economists in our Research group starting the following fall. Research Analysts play an integral role in both the policy and research functions of the Research and Statistics Group, working closely with economists. One of our alumni interned with TMG prior to graduation, and has worked there since graduation as an Algorithmic Trader, using math and programming skills to tackle modeling problems in financial markets in addition to building out software integrating those models into our trading systems.
