Series: Mathematical Physics and Probability Seminar
Location: MATH 402
Presenter: Ed Waymire, Oregon State University
A general probability framework is presented in which to analyze mild solutions of Fourier transformed (deterministic) pde's, e.g., Burgers, KPP, 3-d incompressible Navier-Stokes and others, as well as some purely probabilistic models, e.g., branching random walk, percolation on trees, cellular ageing. This is based on joint work with Radu Dascaliuc, Tuan Pham, and Enrique Thomann.
*This talk will be followed by a companion presentation by Enrique Thomann, in the March 1 2023 probability and mathematical physics seminar. Professor Thomann is visiting UA this term while on sabbatical from Oregon State University.
