We consider the problem of determining when the good moduli space of a smooth Artin stack is non-singular. We focus on the local case where the stack is a quotient [V/G] where V is an irreducible representation of a simple reductive group and give a geometric characterization for smoothness analgous to the Chevalley-Shepard-Todd criterion for actions of finite groups.
