Honors Courses/Contracts

Honors courses are available that also meet general education, foundations (i.e. ENGL 109H), and some other requirements (e.g. PHYS 161H). For students in the new 2025 version of the SDS BA or the new Data Science BS, MATH 263 is available in an honors section in Fall and Spring. In many cases, Honors College membership is required for enrollment; for the above PHYS and ENGL courses, membership is not necessary, but other eligibility rules apply.

Students who are members of the Franke Honors College may contract with the instructor of a course not otherwise available for honors, in order to earn honors credit in the course. See the Franke Honors College website for policies and procedures.
